Dear all,

There is ongoing initiative to have EESTEC in Groningen, which is a great opportunity for all students of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. All our students will now have an opportunity to travel, learn, and meet new colleagues around the Europe, for free!

That's great, but what is EESTEC?

EESTEC is a non-political, non-profit organization for Computer Science (AI included) and Electrical Engineering students at universities, institutes and technical schools in Europe (http://eestec.net).

The association was founded in The Netherlands, in 1986. Nowadays, EESTEC is present in 28 countries and 53 universities across Europe with over 6000 members of whom 3000 are currently active, and indirectly, EESTEC is addressing all students in the faculties that EESTEC exists.

Thanks to the network of EESTEC more than 40 workshops and exchanges are  organized in Europe, allowing around 800 students yearly to travel and gain valuable experience trough organizing as well as participating in these international events (map of Local Committees can be found here: http://eestec.net/about-eestec/local-committees).

I would like to hear your opinion on this initiative?
Do you think that our students could be interested to use the benefits that EESTEC offers?

Looking forward to hear your opinion!
